All started in Marteleira…

The first feedstuffs manufacturer was settled nearby Marteleira, in a place called "Vale de Ouro de Cima", which ended up being an inspiration for the company's name and later for the Group, as suggested by one of the family founders.

This western region of Portugal was chosen to build the first feedstuffs plant because was the town home of its founders and the location of one main poultry production centers. Designed and built from scratch, the Marteleira unit kicks off in 1978, with a single manufacturing feedstuffs line with the enough production to meet some Clients and Group's supply needs. Later on, large investments were made in a second manufacture line, always keeping in mind the poultry feedstuffs as a primacy and achieved an installed capacity of 600 t / day. Afterwards in 1988 with the launch of the Ramalhal plant, a modern unit which has better accessibilities, Marteleira became more specialized in manufacturing specific and sensitive ranges of animal feed.
